Juror Statement
Amy Lucille McLaren: For the jurying process, all the submitted prints were carefully laid out, anxiously waiting to be inspected. I looked around, surrounded by miniature prints, and the breadth and quality of these prints made me proud to be a part of the printmaking world. Both Linda Sokolowski and I took great care in discussing and critiquing the technical and conceptual aspects of each submission. We attempted to jury each on our own and then together in order to choose the most successful prints. I applaud all who entered this Exhibition.
The prints submitted this year were excellent as a whole and it was a great honor to critique such beautiful works of art. Many thanks to my fellow juror, Linda Sokolowski, who has a fantastic eye and has inspired me to do my best as a teacher and artist. Also, my gratitude goes out to Bev McLean for her visionary hard work and dedication to the arts. Thank you for the opportunity to be a juror, and for your time and effort.
